New Delhi: A 10-year-old specially-abled girl from Udipi in Karnataka has emerged as a rare achiever during these challenging times of pandemic as she stitched 15 masks with only one hand as she was born without the other.
The masks made by 10-year-old Sindhuri were given to SSLC students who are appearing for their examinations.
Sindhuri, a class VI student of Mount Rosary English Medium School at Santhekatte Kallianpur, is an active member of scouts and guides, and is helping them reach a target of stitching one lakh masks in entire country.
“It was the target of scout and guide wings to distribute 1 lakh mask to the SSLC students. I stitched 15 masks. Initially, I was hesitant to stitch with a single hand. My mother supported me to stitch the mask. Now all are appreciating me,” said Sindhuri while speaking to the media.
