Guwahati: After Patanjali on Tuesday announced ‘Coronil and Swasari’, what it claims as a 100% effective Ayurvedic cure for treating COVID-19, the ministry of Ayush has asked the company to furnish details of the medicines. Further, the company has been asked to stop advertising or publicising such claims till the issue is duly examined.

“The whole country and the world was waiting for medicine or vaccine for coronavirus. We are proud to announce that the first Ayurvedic, clinically controlled trial based evidence and research-based medicine has been prepared by the combined efforts of Patanjali Research Centre and NIMS,” said Baba Ramdev at a press conference in Haridwar. He also added that clinical trials of the medicine has shown “100 per cent recovery rate within 3-7 days.”

Ayush ministry stated that the claims and details of the stated scientific study are not know to the ministry.

The ministry also also asked for copies of the license and product approval details of the Ayurvedic medicines, which were made in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
