According to Dr Gonmei, considering the topography of the district and since many villages are located at far-flung areas from the main town, the administration had arranged centralised institutional and community quarantine centres for the returnees at the district headquarters.

At present, the district administration is running one institutional quarantine center and 14 community quarantine centers for the returnees. At least, 1,891 people have returned home from various parts of the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
Since the administration runs a centralised quarantine centers, if a person at the center did not receive the sample result, we extended the number of days to stay at the center to avoid further spread of the virus, informed Dr Gonmei.
But those who received their sample result and tested COVID-19 negative, we send them home for strict 14 days’ home quarantine, he added.
