Active cases now stands at 73 with 125 recovered cases

Kohima: With 16 more persons recovering from COVID-19 on Friday, the recovery rate in Nagaland increased to 63%, an increase of 7% as compared to 56% on Thursday. Of the 16 fresh recoveries, nine are from Dimapur and seven from Kohima.

Five fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported on Friday morning taking the number of positive cases to 198. With 16 more recovery cases of COVID-19, the number of active cases in Nagaland now stands at 73 and recovered cases at 125.

Taking to twitter, health minister S Pangnyu Phom announced: “Update! 16 more patients have tested negative of COVID-19 in their second test. 9 from Dimapur & 7 from Kohima.”

Out of the total of 198 positive cases, 125 are male and 73 are female. As per the age break-up, five are in the 0-17 year age group, 185 between 18-44, Seven between 45-64, and one between 65-74 years.

An update from the health and family welfare department said that all 73 active cases are asymptomatic.
