Satyender Jain is the fourth MLA from AAP to get infected with COVID-19, the others being Atishi Marlena, Vishesh Ravi and Rajkumar Anand
Guwahati: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator from Shakurbasti and Delhi health minister Satyender Jain tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, becoming the fourth MLA from his party — Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) — to get infected with the highly contagious virus.
Informing about the same, the health minister tweeted, "Today my covid test found to be positive."
Jain was admitted Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital on the night of June 15 after he complained of high fever and difficulty in breathing. He tested negative for the virus in his first test, however on Wednesday, after continued symptoms of COVID-19 he was tested again, and found positive.
The minister has been on the forefront of Delhi's battle against COVID-19. Meanwhile, today itself, another AAP MLA, Atishi Marlena Singh tested positive for the highly contagious virus.
Representing Kalkaji constituency in South Delhi, Atishi complained of mild fever and cough on tuesday, following which she was tested positive for coronavirus. The other two AAP MLA who were found COVID positive are Vishesh Ravi of Karol Bagh constituency and Rajkumar Anand of Patel Nagar constituency.
