Agartala: The ruling BJP on Monday took disciplinary action against three party leaders and expelled them from the party for six years for indulging in anti-party activities, while show-caused was issued against two workers.
The letter was signed by the president of the state unit of the party, Manik Saha. He stated that the move was considered by the party high command after discussion over the role of their three party workers.
Saha on May 29 had issued a show-cause notice to Bamutia Mandal president, Kajal Dey to give in written why he misled them within a week. In response to the show-cause issued against him, Dey tried to explain his version to the party high command following which the matter was discussed by the state committee in its meeting.
The state committee was not satisfied by the reply of Kajal Dey, the party found the allegations and reports against him as true. The party president on Monday expelled him and directed the district president to remove him from the post of Mandal president immediately.
Earlier on May 28, due to organizational failures the Bamutia Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Sheela Das was removed following a no confidence motion.
The party also took disciplinary action Tapan Guha, Upa Pradhan of Baspadua gram panchayat and Minority Morcha leader, Rahim Miah under South district for their anti-party activities and attempts to malign the image of the party and expelled them for six years on finding allegation against them to be true.
The party had issued show-cause notice to both the workers, but they failed to provide any satisfactory response to the party president.
The party has also received allegations against state committee member and Kailashahar Municipal Corporation, Saha-Sabhadhipati Nitish Dey following which the Pradesh president has issued a show-cause notice against him asking his response within seven days.
The party also found allegations against the Surma Mandal office secretary for his anti-party activities and has asked him to furnish satisfactory response to the show-cause notice within a week.
