From 669 samples tested since 8th June, 5 more positive cases have been detected last night. The new cases are from: Aizawl-1, Lawngtlai-1, Serchhip-1, Saitual-2.

Total cases detected in two days is 51, cumulative active cases as of now is 92.

Manipur: Quarantine violators to go to jail, says CM Singh

Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday says inmates who violate government norms at quarantine centres will be charged under National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and jails.

The stern warning after reports of some inmates blatantly violating guidelines were reported. Singh says mischievous and undisciplined inmates will not be spared and jailed at the designated Sajiwa Central jail in Imphal. READ MORE
