Shillong: Another 6 returnees have tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya on Friday increasing the total number of coronavirus cases to 27.
Of the new cases, 3 are from South West Garo Hills, and 1 each from West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills. The patients are all asymptomatic and under quarantine.
Informing about the same, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma wrote, “6 more residents who had returned to the State have tested positive for COVID19. 3 from South West Garo H, 1 from West Garo H, 1 from East Khasi H, and 1 from West Khasi H. They had come from Maharashtra, Bangalore, West Bengal and Chennai. All r under quarrantine & asymptomatic.”
Meghalaya has reported 27 cases so far with 14 active cases, 12 recoveries and 1 death.
