Kohima: One of the most important crises that we are facing during this pandemic is the uneven flow of information. With various governmental accredited websites and information portals blasting us with COVID-19 do’s & don’ts to prevention and safety measures, valid sources become quite difficult to sieve through. In a bid to bring together official COVID-19 related information, the Nagaland government has created a unique coronavirus dashboard.
The dashboard, which has been created by the COVID-19 war room of Nagaland, is headed by chief secretary Temjen Toy. The dashboard with its user-friendly outlook provides users with easy access to updated information regarding sample testing, migrant assistance, both local and non-local, and even a district medical service overview.
Chief minister Neiphiu Rio took to Twitter to create awareness in reading the dashboard.
Through the dashboard, one can easily view the total number of samples sent for testing and its updated information regarding its results as well. The dashboard also assists the users to have in-depth information about the number of COVID-19 hospitals, isolation wards, available ventilators and also available Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) available in various districts of Nagaland.
A link inside the dashboard even allows you to know the required, valid and shorthand description of the virus, its mode of transmission and even an in-depth study of the use of PPEs, its types and usage.
Till now, Nagaland has zero COVID-19 patients in the state and measures like this will surely help curb the misinformation flow which ultimately becomes the main cause of panic and paranoia regarding the virus.
