One more COVID-19 positive case in Tripura has been confirmed, taking the state’s total number to 2.
The patient is a 32-year-old male from Madhya Pradesh and currently staying at Damcherra. He travelled along with the first COVID-19 positive patient in train.

Being overweight is a major risk for people infected with the new coronavirus and the United States is particularly vulnerable because of high obesity levels there, France’s chief epidemiologist said on Wednesday.
Professor Jean-François Delfraissy, who heads the scientific council that advises the government on the epidemic, said as many as 17 million of France’s 67 million citizens were seriously at risk from the coronavirus because of age, pre-existing illness or obesity.
“This virus is terrible, it can hit young people, in particular obese young people. Those who are overweight really need to be careful,” Delfraissy told franceinfo radio.

Nagaland Govt advises citizens to postpone return to State
The Nagaland Government has issued an advisory to all people planning to return to the State on resumption of commercial flight services to Dimapur, to postpone their return for the time being.
Principal Secretary (Home) Abhijit Sinha said that those whose return is unavoidable, would be medically screened on landing at the Dimapur airport and thereafter taken to institutional quarantine centres designated by the State Government here. They will have to mandatorily undergo a 14-day quarantine. He reiterated all inter-State borders would continue to remain sealed till further notice.

Actual date of results only after lockdown, says SEBA
Reacting to speculation about announcement of HSLC and AHM results in June or July, the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has clarified that the actual date of the results can only be declared once the lockdown is over.
SEBA authorities have reassured the students waiting for their results and their guardians that there is no need to panic as 84 per cent evaluation has been completed and the remaining portion will be over soon. They further asserted that SEBA would announce the results well ahead of time.
The results were supposed to be declared in mid-May. However, with speculation about possible extension of the lockdown, some assumptions regarding the result dates also started doing the rounds.
Assam Police to apply ‘odd-even’ formula in city
The Assam Police, through a press statement, today announced that from Friday it will enforce the odd-even formula for the vehicles used in essential services in the city as part of the lockdown.
Under the rule, tomorrow, police will allow those essential services vehicles which have an even number as the last digit of their registration number.
On Saturday, city police will apply that rule on the vehicles having an odd number as the last digit of the registration number.
137 units have reopened: Patowary
After chairing a review meeting of the Industry and Transport departments, Industries Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary today said that if an industrial unit needs to reopen, then it has to first apply for permission from the respective Deputy Commissioners.
“The DCs in consultation with health officials may grant permission only to those industries producing essential commodities like biscuits, soap, sanitizers, pharmaceutical products, fertilizers, pesticides etc. As far as the industry department is concerned, it is going to be very careful in reopening of all industries as in the current situation, safety is foremost,” stated the Minister.

Total COVID-19 cases soar to 6,412 in India
The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 6,412 on Friday (April 10), as of 8 am, with the death toll standing at 199.
According to the latest updates provided by the Unioni health ministry, there are 5,709 active cases with 199 deaths so far in the country. As many as 503 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
