Imphal: Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday announced to extend financial assistance to those people from the state who are stranded in various parts of the country during the 21-day nationwide lockdown.
A financial support of Rs 2,000 from the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund will be directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, the CM said.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Singh said, “CM Secretariat, Manipur has resolved to transfer a financial assistance of Rs.2000 (Rupees two thousand) from the CM’s COVID-19 RELIEF FUND to the Bank accounts of each person who are stranded outside the State during the lockdown.”
Those stranded citizens needing financial support may visit the newly launched website www.tengbang.in and fill up the necessary information of the beneficiary.
Tengbang.in is an online platform categorically launched to help those citizens stranded by lockdown in metro cities and to address their grievances during this prevailing situation arising out of the coronavirus pandemic.
Appealing to the public not to panic but to remain calm in these trying times, Singh also said, “It’s the time of crisis but it’s no time to panic. It is time to settle down and apply our minds to fight against this virus.
“Raise your concerns here (www.tengbang.in) and we will try to reach out to you. Let’s fight together and let’s win this battle,” he added.
Since the setting up of CM’s COVID-19 Relief Fund with an aim to assist and support stranded fellow residents in metro cities during the lockdown, people from all walks of life have come forward and contributed for the cause.
So far, a total of Rs 12,00,42,859.62 has been donated by the public towards the relief fund, said reports.

Step 2: Click on to Financial Assistance
Step 3: It will take you to Request Submission Form (One need to fill up all the relevant information in the box)
Step 4: Click on submit.
Step 5: Note down the request ID for future reference.
