New Delhi: The toll of coronavirus related death in India has increased to four, as an elderly person passed away in Punjab on Thursday.
According to The Quint, a 72-year-old man, who returned from Germany via Italy a fortnight ago died at a hospital in Punjab's Nawanshahr district after severe chest pain. His sample has tested positive for novel coronavirus, the health ministry confirmed.
“The septuagenarian, who had diabetes and hypertension, tested positive after he died at the Banga community health centre on Wednesday," said Jagat Ram, director of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) to The Quint.
