The appeal was made through a press statement issued by NSF considering the grave danger posed by COVID-19

Kohima: Amid coronavirus (COVID-19) scare, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), the apex student’s body of the Nagas, on Saturday appealed “all the institutions to tie up with their respective state governments and distribute free masks and hand sanitisers to all the students”.

The appeal was made through a press statement issued by NSF president Ninoto Awomi and secretary education Kegwayhun Tep for the interest of the students’ community, considering the grave danger posed by COVID-19, which was declared as a global pandemic by World Health Organization (WHO) recently.

It appealed the head(s) of all educational institutions in all Naga-Inhabited areas to take all necessary precautionary measures and to ensure that the students are kept free from the deadly virus.

Appealing all institutions to strictly comply with the various preventive measures and health advisories as directed by the concerned departments, it expressed concern for students to prevent contracting the disease and further combating its spread.
