Agartala: To provide speedy disposal of any industry-related permission and make the process easier, the Tripura Cabinet has passed a proposal for ‘Single Window Approval by All Government Agencies Rules, 2020′.
Announcing this while addressing media persons, state law minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the investors and entrepreneurs now would not require waiting for months to get permission for setting up their business and industries.
“The approval of the single window process will ease the process and with a single application, one can get all the required permission for setting up their venture. Earlier it took months and one had to reach 17 departments for approval,” Nath said.
Now all the 17 departments will give the approval to set up an industry and new venture to inspiring entrepreneurs within 30 days provided all the criteria are fulfilled from the single window.
“At present, the number of small enterprises stands at 5,431 and by March 9, 2020 as many as 2,980 new units have registered with an investment of Rs 360 crore and altogether 16,236 people have engaged in the new units,” Nath added.
He also informed that since 2018 after the BJP-IPFT government came into power altogether 45 units have been set up which had an investment of over Rs 191 crore.
“As many as 2730 jobs have been created since March 2018. While during the previous government in the last 25 years of the government only 93 industrial units were set up and among them 45 are still running,” Nath added.
He also informed that the Cabinet has given its approval for the re-appointment of 49 Ad-hoc teachers in the education department.
“Among the teachers, 39 of them have qualified TET exam, while one had cleared STGT. After giving them the age relaxation from the cabinet they can now be re-appointed,” Nath said.
