Guwahati: The Filmfare Awards fever has completely taken over Guwahati in Assam as several A-list Bollywood celebrities have already landed in the city on Friday. The mega cinematic extravaganza will be held at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai on Saturday evening.
Among the confirmed 24 Bollywood biggies, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar, Varun Dhavan, Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aryan, Madhuri Dixit and Ayushman Khurrana have already arrived in the city. Several others will be arriving later in the day on Friday, and Saturday.
Kaushal and Johar will be hosting the 65th Filmfare Awards night, which will be attended by the who’s who of the entertainment industry, besides others.
The Filmfare Awards ceremony is taking place for the first time in Guwahati and aims to promote Assam tourism. Assam government had signed an MoU with The Times Group to play host to the Black Lady in November last year.
