Agartala: The union budget 2020 is a budget for the corporate and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to fulfill his duties, alleged Tripura Congress chief Pijush Kanti Biswas.
Speaking with the reporters, Biswas said that state is facing an adequate financial crisis due to the policies and decisions made by the Central government.
“Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb and law minister Ratan Lal Nath have said that there is no financial crisis in the state but this is a total lie from Tripura’s ruling party. A financial crisis is prevailing across the state, but they are trying to mislead the people,” Biswas said.
He also said that poor people are living in a very critical condition with no food, jobs for unemployed youths. The central government is not providing funds to the state government.

“The Centre is not putting enough focus into the north east region. In the union budget there was no such allocation for Tripura and northeastern region. In the Union budget, there was no indication on how the price hike would be controlled,” Biswas said.
Taking a dig at chief minister Biswas said, CM should protest against the Centre and, if necessary, Congress would extend their support to the ruling government for the slogan “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikash” as the Centre has not allocated anything for the state of Tripura.

“I am in doubt that Tripura government could provide the salary to the government employees. Even the payment of government contractors, suppliers are also pending. The state government is depending 90% on the Central government and the Centre is now depriving the state,” Biswas added.
