Guwahati: Around five people were killed and several injured in a road accident at Dhupdhara area of Assam’s Goalpara district in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to sources, a bus bearing registration AS-01-BC-2848 en route to Guwahati from Dhubri met with an accident around 4.15 am and fell into a gorge. The exact reason for the accident is not known as of now.
The injured are being treated in a makeshift provision outside a local civil hospital.
