New Delhi: The third case of coronavirus in India was confirmed in Kerala’s Kasargod on Monday even as the country issued a fresh travel advisory urging people to refrain from visiting China.
Kerala health minister KK Shailaja confirmed the third case saying that the person is stable and had recently returned from Wuhan.
Two more cases were reported from the state earlier and the patients are currently stable and in isolation.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, some reports had suggested that the first case of coronavirus was reported in Assam. EastMojo did a fact check and contacted the superintendent of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital Romen Talukdar. Although Mansul Alam, who had flown from Kerala to Guwahati on Sunday, was admitted to GMCH on suspicion, initial medical test results, however, didn’t show any trace of the virus.
Talukdar added that Alam has no history of travelling to any of the countries that is under the coronavirus threat.
Later, reports confirmed that Alam was just suffering from viral fever.
