Shillong: Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) in collaboration with the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) organised awareness workshops in the run-up to the NER Entrepreneurship & Startups Summit ‘NERES 1.0’ in March this year.
The Meghalaya leg of the awareness programme was organised by IIE in collaboration with Impulse NGO Network. The event witnessed the participation of over 30 established and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Mentorship lectures on the dos and don’ts besides tips to surge ahead in the realm of entrepreneurship were also imparted to the participants.
‘NERES 1.0’ is aimed to promote startup entrepreneurs of NER by offering them with a platform to pitch their business ideas and finally the winners — 20 best ideas across NER will be rewarded with a startup grant of Rs 5,00,000 each.
Impulse NGO Network programme manager Emarine Kharbhih said that the initiative was aimed to give a fillip to the budding entrepreneurs and in a way show them the way ahead.
Kharbhih observed that the region is blessed with promising entrepreneurs and all they need is a path to move ahead. She hoped that this initiative would help out the aspiring ones to achieve what they long for.
