Dimapur: Hundreds of students and members of civil society organisations came out to protest against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act in Dimapur, Nagaland on Saturday.

Led by Nagaland Against CAA, a Facebook group, the public protest started at 10 am at Supermarket Area, near ‘The Garden’ and will go on till 4 pm.

Launched on January 6, Nagaland Against CAA has managed to garner over 17,000 members and counting. The public protest was held as part of its initiatives to show resentment against the Act.

The rally is also witnessing music, theatrical drama and on-the-spot painting, among others, based on the revolutionary theme
