Kohima: With the countdown beginning for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s most awaited ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020’, nine students from Nagaland are all set to represent the state to participate at the interactive live session to be held at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi later this month on the topic of beating exam stress.
When contacted, B Nellayappan, assistant director of school education, told EastMojo that the selected students along with two teachers, both of whom will be participating at the event, will head to Guwahati from Dimapur on Friday night following which they will travel to Delhi on Saturday. They will then return home on Tuesday after their participation at the event.
The selected students are: Nikhilesh, Poulami Pandit, Rishav Dobriyal, Sandhya Gurung, Kamal Sharma, Indra, Lengngoi Phom, Rongsenmeren Longkumer, Sallouni and Mandal.
As per the guidelines, students of Classes IX to XII were made to participate in the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020 Contest. The students were given the choice to write their responses on any one of the five themes in a maximum of 1,500 characters and the best responses will be featured in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interactive session with students.
According to MyGov, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020 seeks to not only take away the stress of our young students, who will be appearing for board examinations and other entrance examinations but will also ask him questions that they always wanted to. All participants will also be awarded with digital certificates.
Meanwhile, Lengngoi Phom, a Class X student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya from Longleng district, is also among the selected students. The teacher-in-charge of the school told EastMojo that Phom was the only student selected from the school, out of five students who were registered.
An academically bright student, the teacher revealed that Phom is also a responsive and diligent students. The teacher positively noted that with the opportunity given to Phom, students from remote areas are also encouraged to participate at such events equally.
