Guwahati: In the first win of Day 4 of the ongoing 3rd Khelo India Youth Games on Monday, Gongutri Bordoloi secured the second gold medal for Assam by coming out on top in the girls’ U-21 100-km cycling event in Guwahati, Assam.

Incidentally, another cyclist from the state — Chayanika Gogoi — picked the bronze medal in the same event. The silver was won by Odisha’s Swasti Singh.
On Sunday, Puja Basumatary became the first from the state to clinch a gold after winning in the judo U-17,57 kg category.

As on Sunday, Assam stood 18th with six medals: one gold, two bronze, and three bronze among 37 contesting states and UTs at the ongoing Youth Games in Guwahati.
