Anti-CAB protests turns violent in Dibrugarh
According to reports, anti-CAB protests in upper Assam’s Dibrugarh town turned violent today. A group of AASU activists ransacked the AGP office in Dibrugarh breaking furniture and computer sets.
Copies of CAB papers burnt in Kokrajhar
In Kokrajhar heart of Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD), students union carried out a protest demonstration in front of AASU office in Kokrajhar and burnt down the copies of papers of the Citizenship Amendment Bill to mark the strong protest the bill.
Hundreds of students union activists, citizens with placards joined hands in the protest and shouted slogans demanding the immediate cancellation of CAB.
Assistant general secretary of AASU, Nabajyoti Roy strongly condemned the BJP’s strategy to implement the controversial Bill which is creating chaos across the state. He added, “Student union will continue its protest against the controversial CAB”.
