Agartala: The state government has initiated to introduce a pilot project named ‘Super 30’ from the 2022-21 academic session to fund the coaching fees of the top rank holders in the Class-X standard examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE).

The decision was taken in the state Cabinet meeting on Wednesday and state education minister Ratan Lal Nath informed this to the media at civil secretariat in Agartala on Thursday evening.

“In total, 45 students would be selected for this ‘Super 30’ project in the first year under the pilot project. The top 30 students would get the chance to select on a merit basis and they would get the chance to choose own institutions. However, students in the science stream can enjoy this facility,” he said.

He also said that the students of Tripura have good capability and provided with a good opportunity from the state government then they can outshine others.

“A sum of Rs 2.40 lakh per annum would be spent for each student while an amount of Rs 72 lakh would be spent in the first year and Rs 1.44 crore would be spent in the second year,” he added.
