The dashing left-handed Indian batsman is out of action and recovering his fitness slowly with constant training as he underwent a knee injury earlier this year
New Delhi: Wishes started pouring in for Team India’s dashing left-hander batsman, Suresh Raina as he turned 33 years on Wednesday.
A total of 768 Test Match runs holder, Raina, who is commonly known as Mr Perfect by his fans and among his mates in Team India is currently undergoing rehabilitation after he underwent a knee surgery earlier this year.
Cricket stars of Indian cricket team, including Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and Mohammad Kaif to young and dynamic current Indian team players like Shikhar Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harbhajan Singh took to their personal social media handles to wish their Mr Perfect on his special day and also for his early recovery.
Posting at his Twitter account, retired Indian batsman, Virender Sehwag wished Raina to achieve glory in his own unique style and for a great year ahead.
"May you race your way to more glory Suresh. Wish you a great year ahead #HappyBirthdayRaina," Sehwag posted.
Sharing a few of their captured moments together at his twitter account, Shikhar Dhawan posted, "Happy birthday mere Bhai @ImRaina. Blessings and loads of good wishes to you".
Remembering the special day of Mr Perfect, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) taking an opportunity to wish him in a unique way shared an old video where Raina is singing a song from an old Bollywood movie.
"Here's wishing @ImRaina a very happy birthday. May your birthday be as joyous as this joyful song #HappyBirthdayRaina," BCCI tweeted wishing Raina on his special day.
Flooding the internet with warm wishes for Mr Perfect, Raina's fans posting in large numbers made him a top trend within a short time interval.
Celebrating his special day, Raina’s fans recalled some of his amazing knocks as well as some of his outstanding catches that he displayed while playing for the country as well as while representing his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises.
Interestingly, the out-of-favour batsman, who is presently out of action, is seen sharing his training videos from time to time in social media which shows that he is working hard to regain his fitness after the Knee surgery.
