Kokrajhar: Four  militants of National Democratic Front of Boroland-Saoraigwra faction (NDFB-S) were apprehended by security forces at Suwagpur near Goreswar in Baksa district on Thursday.

According to Police source, the NDFB-S outfit organisation demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from a businessman Bilifang Narzary of Tamulpur. For which, two militants were on their way to collect the ransom money on Thursday when they were arrested at Baihata Chariali in Kamrup rural district by Assam police, CRPF and Indian Army.

They were identified as Dhaneswar Boro of Tamulpur and Raju Swargiary of Dekiajuli, Sonitpur. Later, on their revelation two other militants were arrested from Owabari area of Baksa district. They have been identified as Bijoy Boro and Soneswar Boro. Five mobile handsets were recovered from their possession.
