Imphal: South Korea’s DJ Soda is all set to make her maiden appearance in Manipur at the Ultra EDM Imphal, an electronic dance music festival to be held at Patsoi HVS Ground in Imphal on Friday. The globally-renowned musician arrived in the state capital on Thursday afternoon.

Speaking to reporters at a press meet, DJ Soda, whose real name is Hwang So-hee, said that she has been a music lover ever since she was very young. Since then, she started listening to hip-hop music and eventually led her to DJ-ing as a full-timer in 2014.
“Listening to music, especially the hip-hop musical genre, gives me a sense of healing and happiness. And through my musical performance, I want to share the happiness with the people,” said DJ Soda.
This will also be the first for the Korean social media star musician and a model to be performing in India during her six years of professional DJing career.
With her massively popularly in social media site having more than 3 million followers on Instagram, DJ Soda was also tapped as one of the top 10 Korean influencers on Instagram by the magazine Be in 2018.
