Guwahati: Award-winning filmmaker Rima Das added another feather to her cap as she bagged the ‘Best Director Award’ for Bulbul Can Sing at the 10th Jagran Film Festival (JFF) held in Mumbai on Sunday.

The filmmaker’s National Award-winning film Village Rockstar too won the ‘Best Film’ award during the same film festival last year.

Taking to Twitter, Das wrote, “Thank you so much @jagranfilmfest @KetanMehtaMaya giving me Best Director award for #BulbulCanSing Also, warm congratulations to all the winner.”

Earlier, the movie won the National Award 2019 for the Best Assamese Film and the Rajat Kamal Award in the regional language film category at the 66th National Film Awards.

The internationally acclaimed movie hit the screens across Assam on September 20, while it was released nationwide on September 27.
