Diphu: Security forces nabbed a suspected cadre of People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK) from Assam’s Karbi Anglong district recenty.

The apprehended PDCK rebel has been identified as 32-year-old Sukursing Millick, a resident of Dengaon locality under Dokmoka Police Station of Karbi Anglong.

As per sources, the suspected PDCK rebel was nabbed by security forces in Rongchitim area of the district, while he was on his way moving towards Manja in a Bolero vehicle with registration number AS 09E-2429.

Meanwhile, security forces also recovered arms and ammunition from the apprehended PDCK cadre, including one 22 mm pistol, 6 rounds of live ammunition, one magazine, one mobile phone. An amount of Rs 63, 500 was also recovered from the possession of the nabbed militant.

During preliminary interrogation, it has come to light that the apprehended cadre was involved in carrying out extortion activities in several parts of the district.

The PDCK member also revealed that he was an ex-militant of the banned outfit, Karbi Longri North Cachar Hills Liberation Front.
