Kokrajhar: A few days after the video of a face-off between two top Assam government officers inside a hotel complex in Kokrajhar district drew attention among the masses, SP Rajen Singh, while refuting the allegations made against him, said that the alleged “fight” does not have any connection to their respective positions.
While clarifying over the reported incident to media persons on Saturday, Singh expressed that he doesn’t hold any grudge against executive magistrate Sailen Das, rather they were hostel mates at Rajni Kanta Bordoloi hostel while pursuing their graduation at then Cotton College in Guwahati.
“I don’t have any personal grudge or jealousy with Assam Civil Service (ACS) officer Sailen Das,” added Singh.
Singh further expressed that an investigation over the entire incident is on and hopefully the truth with all details of what had actually happened on the party night of September 9 will come out in the investigation report very soon.
Meanwwhile, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday ordered a probe into the entire incident. Sonowal directed Lower Assam commissioner SS Meenakshi Sundaram to initiate a proper investigation into the incident.
