Kohima: On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 69th birthday, a viral video of four children from Nagaland’s Mokokchung district singing a song to wish him has not only won hearts on the Internet, but “moved” the premier himself.

Here’s the video:

“This is among the sweetest things on the internet today. Thank you so much! @namomerchandise would get in touch with you to send over a few goodies for them,” tweeted Modi, in response to the viral video that was uploaded by cleanliness activist and Devi Awardee, Temsutula Imsong.

Imsong replied to Modi’s message saying, “I told them about this tweet @narendramodi ji , that you have not only acknowledged their wishes but have sent them gifts too and these Kids, their parents and everyone who came to know were dancing with joy…Proud of you and sincerely grateful to you…”

As reported earlier, the video features three kids singing the birthday song while the fourth one is seen playing the guitar.

Imsong began to clean up ghats along the river Ganga in the districts of Varanasi and Ghazipur along with the volunteers of the not-for-profit organisation, Sakaar Sewa Samiti, declared her war on filth in February 2013.

The 36-year-old got a boost in October 2014 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) or ‘Clean India Mission’ on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and ever since she has been promoting the message of health, sanitation and hygiene.

Meanwhile, Modi thanked all people who greeted him. In a tweet he said, “Today, people from all walks of life have conveyed their good wishes. Thousands have shared photos of precious memories. I am grateful to each and everyone of you for your greetings. I derive immense strength from this unwavering affection and support.”
