Senapati/Maram: As many as 66 rank holders were felicitated by Outer Manipur MP Dr Lorho S Pfoze at the Don Bosco College, Maram in Senapati district on Tuesday.
The state rank-holders of the recently-declared Bachelor’s degree exams conducted by Manipur University under various streams, including science, commerce and arts, were honoured during the event.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Pfoze, who he himself is an alumnus of the college, expressed his gratitude to the varsity and attributed his success in life to his alma mater.
While Pfoze urged the students to strive and move from mediocrity to excellence, the Parliamentarian also hoped that every Bosconian will become a trendsetter in society.

Sharing his faith in the word of God from Holy Bible, the MP asked the students to shun evil and follow the good. “Be planted besides the running stream so that you will be giving fruits of good deeds in life,” he added.
Reverend Father Sebastian Jose SDB, rector of the college, thanked the students and acknowledged the rank holders for their superb performance in the university exams.

While speaking at the convocation programme, Kananbala Devi, one of the rank holders, showered praises to the college for moulding them during the past three years and helping her to attain the top positions in the university exams. At the same time, Devi also urged the juniors to create another milestone by securing beyond 66 ranks in the coming years.
Don Bosco College, Maram is one the premier colleges of the state and is permanently affiliated to Manipur University. Over the course of time, the college has managed to produce many students with excellence both in grades and quality in the state-level educational system.
