July 26 is a day of pride as this day commemorates the anniversary of the success of Operation Vijay in the 1999 Kargil War. This year marks the 20th anniversary of India’s victory over the Pakistani forces as the Indian Army was engaged in one of its fiercest battles to take back the high-altitude posts in the Kargil-Drass area of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir.
