Participate in ‘Together Against Corruption’ poster/video contest

The international anti-corruption competition is open to youths between 14 and 35 years; top winners will be felicitated in Moscow, Russia on December 9

Guwahati: The department of personnel and training in association with the Central Vigilance Commission and the Union ministry of external affairs is organising the India chapter of ‘Together Against Corruption’, an international anti-corruption competition.

The online poster/video competition is open from June 1 to September 30. Youths in the age group of 14 to 35 years can participate in the contest. The top winners will be felicitated in a ceremony held in Moscow, Russia on December 9.

The contest will be held in two categories -- ‘The Best Poster’ and ‘The Best Video’ in two stages:

· Semi-final (national level), and

· Final (international level)

The goals of the contest are to encourage the younger generation to participate in corruption prevention, to develop and use social advertising against corruption, to foster interaction between the society and prosecution authorities and other public authorities in anti-corruption education of the population.

To take part in the contest, an applicant must prepare a poster and/or video on the topic ‘Together Against Corruption’ following the goals and objectives of the contest.

Thereafter, they must register a personal account on the official website http://anticorruption.life/en and complete the registration and other formalities specified.

The international jury for selecting the top 3 winners of contest would comprise of one representative from each participating country who will vote online. The winners will be felicitated in an award ceremony to be held in Moscow on December 9, 2019. In the event of Indian entry declared winners, the DoPT shall bear the travel expenses of the winning participants and accompanying officials. The expenses for accommodation and meals of winners and accompanying persons during their stay in Moscow will be paid by the organiser.

The Airports Authority of India, North Eastern Region with its administrative head as the regional executive director, is spreading the awareness about the contest by giving wide publicity through displaying banners, distributing pamphlets in the airports, in schools, colleges, professional institutions identified in Guwahati as well as institutions identified by respective airport directors of North Eastern Region airports and through the AAI Integrity Clubs of North Eastern Region.
