Guwahati: Applications are invited for admission to the pre-examination coaching programme for the Central Civil Services (IAS, etc) Examination 2019-2020 to be conducted by the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati, Assam from October this year.
Selection of candidates:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test in general studies of the UPSC syllabus that will be held on August 4, 2019 (Sunday) from 11 am to 1 pm. The paper will contain objective type questions of 100 questions of 2 marks each totaling 200 marks.
Eligibility for the test:
General candidates securing at least 65% and reserved category candidates securing 55% in the degree examination from any recognised university.
Reservation of seats:
ST (H), ST (P), SC, OBC and PWD candidates as per government rules.

The candidates must submit the self-attested copies of all relevant testimonials along with two passport-sized photographs on the day of submission of application. Original certificates will have to be produced by the candidates at the time of their admission to the coaching programme.
Last date for submission:
The last date for submission of forms is July 25, 2019 (Monday) during office hours. No application will be entertained after this date.
Venue for written test:
The venue is Assam Administrative Staff College (AASC), Khanapara, Guwahati. Any change in the dates of the selection test will be notified in the website of the institute, www.aasc.assam.gov.in.
The results of the test will be displayed on AASC office notice board and AASC website (notice board) www.aasc.assam.gov.in.
Fees on selection for the course: Rs 5,000. Further details will be available in the institute website, www.aasc.assam.gov.in (notice board).
