Diphu: Aiming to become a garbage-free district, the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) distributed house-to-house garbage collection vans in the Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Saturday.
Working under initiative of PM Narendra Modi’s flagship Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, KAAC chief executive member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang formally distributed the garbage collection vans among the 10 area-level federation for self-help groups in the district. Each of the 10 ALFs was provided with one garbage collection vehicle by the council.
