Bhubaneswar: With Cyclone Fani leaving a trail of destruction in Odisha and forcing residents to stay indoors, the efforts of the rescue and relief teams, especially the state police, in ensuring the safety of the masses are winning hearts on social media.
A series of tweets posted by the Odisha Police show the men in khaki going beyond the call of duty to move people to safety, sensitising them on cyclone shelters and clearing roads and highways.
The touching photos show their humane side and the efforts that they are putting in to calm people in this difficult time.
In Kendrapara, some officers are seen carrying infants and guiding children, women, and other locals to safety. In some others, officers are seen fighting it out to provide all possible help to evacuate people from the danger zones.
A particular photo stands out, that of a woman cop of Talchua Police Station in Kendrapara braving all odds to ferry a woman on her motorcycle to safety.
