Guwahati: Nagaland poet Tialila Kikon’s poems ‘One Sky’ and ‘Petrichor’ were displayed at the Moberly Arts and Culture Center in Vancouver, Canada on the occasion of World Poetry Day on March 21.
The two poems were selected by the Writers International Network from the five writings that were earlier shortlisted, says Kikon.
Based in Dimapur, Kikon pens down her thoughts on a lot of issues regarding life, love, humanity, hope, etc. The 45-year-old poet was mentioned in the list of the ‘100 most incredible instapoets’ for the year 2018 on Instagram.

Incidentally, the St Joseph’s College, Jakhama graduate’s work was displayed for the third time at the Moberly Arts and Cultural Center on World Poetry day — the first was in 2016, the second in 2018 and the latest being this year.
Being a closet poet for a long time, Kikon morphed out of her cocoon with her poem ‘Humans Beings As We Are’. The poem was selected as the ‘top 100 poems of 2015’ by Poetry First Publishing International. She also published her first collection of poems in the year 2016 titled ‘Paper Cranes’.
