Arunachal governor given additional charge of Mizoram

Itanagar: The governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) has appealed to the people for peace and amity in the state. He said that Arunachalis have always demonstrated their rationality, sagacity and maturity in their conduct under all circumstances.

The governor also urged upon the elders and elites of the society to come forward and advise the youth to display the Arunachali spirit and not to get swayed way by the spill over of the ‘Bandh culture’ and eschew destruction of public property and vandalism, which are social evils and every one’s loss.

The governor strongly condemned the violent activities carried out by some beguile persons. He said that aggression and destruction need strongest criticism in a civilised society.

The governor advised the state government to take all precautionary measures to check vandalism, stop violence and prevent unruly incidence.

Mishra also condoled the unfortunate incidents of causalities in the violent incidents. He said that it is not only a painful loss to the family of the suffers but a loss for the state as well.
