The advertisement was made by the previous Left-front govt for posts in various state departments
Agartala: Following the government order, the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has cancelled the recruitment process for 24 posts, advertisement for which was made by the previous Left-front government, in various government departments with immediate effect.
In a notification, issued by the TPSC on January 2, the BJP-IPFT led government has decided to cancel the advertisement of 24 posts in various government departments like veterinary, industry and commerce, education, health and social welfare, forest etc.
Earlier on two occasions, on November 13 and 22, the recruitment notifications were also cancelled by the state government for the posts of assistant professors, curator of Tripura Museum, principal of polytechnic and teacher education colleges.
Sources informed EastMojo that the advertisements were made by the previous Left-front government in the state. Since the BJP-led government in Tripura introduced its recruitment policy in May 2018, the government probably had decided to cancel the advertisements, sources added.
Meanwhile, opposition Congress party leader Tapas Dey has condemned the cancellation of the advertisements, which were announced during the Left-front government. He also criticised the state government of trying to play politics putting the younger generation of the state in danger.
