The ‘festival of festivals’ attracted 2,51,701 visitors compared to the last year’s total of 2,43,214, as per latest data
Kohima: The Hornbill Festival attracted 2,51,701 visitors this year, a slight increase compared to the previous edition, as per latest data released by the government on the final day of the 10-day event on Monday.
As per available data, a total of 2,51,701 visitors, including 2,702 foreign tourists, 37,397 domestic and 2,11,602 local residents visited the festival this year.
The number of visitors was higher by 8,487 compared to last year's total of 2,43,214 visitors, as per reports.
The 10-day festival was inaugurated on December 1 this year, coinciding with the 55th Statehood Day celebrations.
