Sikkim: Mega tourism project to be inaugurated in Pelling on Nov 1

Final inspection and coordination meeting for new pilgrimage site held; to be inaugurated by CM Chamling next week

Gangtok: A mega pilgrimage tourism project of Sikkim named Chenregiz Shingkham Riwo Potala at Pelling is all set to be inaugurated by CM Pawan Kumar Chamling on November 1. The final inspection and coordination meeting regarding the inauguration was held on Thursday, say reports.

The inspection of the mega project’s inspection was carried out by cultural affairs minister GM Gurung along with MLA Chandra Maya Subba and other officials. The minister intricately inspected the project site and advised all the officials to give their best prior to the inauguration of the tourism project.

Gurung reiterated on the fact that the project is of utmost importance and the inaugural function of the same will be historic for the state of Sikkim. He also added that the project, once thought to be an impossible task, is almost nearing its completion and hence everything needs to be done with proper care prior to the launch of the project by CM Chamling.
