Agartala: A day after the police recovered three pistols, six magazines and 25 rounds of live bullets from a guesthouse in Dharmanagar in North Tripura district, another man was arrested in Damchhera area with a sophisticated China-made pistol, a country-made gun and five rounds of live cartridges on Thursday evening.

Acting on a tip-off about a man travelling from Mizoram to Damchhera with arms, police set up a search team in the area and arrested one Kabir Uddin, 25. Some incriminating documents were also recovered from him.

The arrested person is a resident of Kotmani of Bajarichhera under Karimganj district in Assam, said the police.

Earlier on Wednesday, the police recovered three pistols, six magazines and 25 rounds of live bullets from a guesthouse in Dharmanagar in North Tripura district. One person, identified as Pranjit Das, was arrested in this connection.
