Television journalist and senior anchor Rohit Sardana who had tested positive for COVID-19 recently, died of a heart attack on Friday. He was 42.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and many politicians, and the media fraternity expressed grief on the demise of the Aaj Tak journalist.

“Rohit Sardana left us too soon. Full of energy, passionate about India’s progress and a kind hearted soul, Rohit will be missed by many people. His untimely demise has left a huge void in the media world. Condolences to his family, friends and admirers. Om Shanti.” tweeted PM Modi.
