With India witnessing another record single-day rise of 2,73,810 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, netizens are furious and are demanding for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resign.
The double-mutated variant of COVID-19 is wreaking havoc in the country. The national capital has imposed a week-long lockdown/curfew, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has cancelled rallies in West Bengal due to Coronavirus, however, the PM and BJP seem to still be in election mode. And now, netizens want Modi to resign for disastrous handling of the second wave of COVID-19, as #ResignModi trended number 1 in India.
Television actor Nakul Mehta took to the micro-blogging platform and narrated a hard-hitting poem.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also sought his resignation for mishandling the second wave. She said, “For the skyrocketing COVID-19 cases, he must resign. He is the man who is responsible. No planning, no administrative capabilities, complete inefficiency. Neither did he plan ahead, nor did he allow anyone to do so.”
Netizens are holding PM Modi accountable and calling his election as India’s “biggest mistake.”

Nothing will happen – Don’t worry. I saw images of Migrants walking hundreds of miles and they did nothing when election came but the Andh Bhaks went out to vote I think in some mid term election to get BJP back. So this is not nothing. Don’t worry the India that once existed is all dead now. They want Hindutva more than India that once stood as a beacon of democracy in Asia. Its all over folks. The masses are sleeping so let them sleep. 🙂
