UP horror: 50-year-old woman gangraped, murdered in Badaun
A 50-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district was allegedly gangraped and murdered by three men on Sunday night.
A case of gangrape and murder has been registered by Badaun police. Two people have been arrested.
Speaking with local media, the woman's son said that she used to go to the place of worship regularly. On Sunday, she left home at 5 pm, and the men brought her back at around 11.30 pm.
Budaun police chief Sankalp Sharma said that disciplinary action is being taken against local policemen for negligence. "I have ordered his suspension," he reportedly said.
According to reports, the priest of the temple claimed that the woman fell into a well near the place of worship and the priest and others rescued her. He added that when he and two others dropped the woman home, she was alive.
