NCB arrests Kannada actress in drugs case
Kannada actor Shweta Kumari has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after being found in possession of the drug Mephedrone in her hotel room in Mumbai.
After detaining her on Monday and questioning her for hours, the NCB team took Kumari for medical tests on Tuesday. NCB officials said a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Kumari.
Kumari's arrest comes after NCB's raid at a hotel in Mumbai that also resulted in the seizure of 400 gm MD worth over Rs 10 lakh.
The actress has predominantly been seen in Tollywood and Kannada films.
