But there is much more to tea than the regular brew of your comfort Kappa. With winters knocking on our doors, here are five ways to transform this rather humble brew into a bartender’s delight.

A flavour bold enough for a perfect tea cocktail, the Absinthe is used as a rinse to coat the glass with its anise flavour and becomes an ideal complement to the tea and whiskey.
Adding a little gin to sweet tea can transform regular tea into a tantalising cocktail. We believe the best choice of tea for this cocktail is Earl Grey, but who are we to stop you? Keep it simple add a little lemon and a hint of sugar to a tall glass of iced tea, stir it and then finish it with a little gin for the final kicker.
As winter approaches, so does the need for rum with hot water. Giving a twist to this is the Rum Chai which is the combination of mint or Basil, ginger, honey, tea, and rum. Prepare it by crushing finely chopped ginger with mint and then mix it with honey. Finish it by either pouring hot or cold tea and enjoy the cocktail. If there was a drink to warm your cockles of your heart, this is it.
Sounds simple, is simple. Add lemon and eucalyptus to a regular mint tea, one can easily put a cooling spin on a bourbon-spiked sweet tea. After the tea is brewed and chilled, add a shot of bourbon and a little extra lemon.
