The explanation came in the time when on Sunday, Priyanka Gandhi along with her brother Rahul Gandhi along with other Congress leaders made their way to Hathras. The delegation was on their way to meet the family members of the alleged gang-rape victim who passed away in a hospital in Delhi.

It was there that Gandhi was allegedly manhandled when a scuffle broke out involving the Congress workers and the Gautam Buddh Nagar police. Visuals circulating in social media show how in the melee, a helmet-wearing policeman had held the 48-year-old Congress General Secretary by her kurta at the DND toll plaza.
