Man shot dead in broad daylight in Delhi

According to the police, the victim was allegedly shot dead by three unidentified persons

Delhi: A 33-year-old man was shot in broad daylight in east Delhi’s Madhu Vihar area on Sunday.

The victim, who has been identified as Yogesh, a resident of Dakshinpuri, was allegedly shot dead by three unidentified persons.

The police said that they got the information regarding the incident at around 2 pm.

Senior official of the Delhi Police(east), Jasmeet Singh said, "The victim received multiple gunshots and was rushed to Max hospital, Patparganj, where he was declared dead,"

According to another senior police officer, the eye witness of the incident present in the area told the police that three persons who came on a bike, fired bullets at the victim while he was sitting inside his car.

The deceased, Yogesh, who used to own a car washing center in Dakshinpuri, was involved in a murder case in 2011. According to the police, Yogesh had involvements in a few other cases too. The police said that further investigation regarding the case is underway.
